Karmala Police Strike Fear in Criminals: Senior Inspector Ranjit Mane’s Team Recovers Stolen Motorcycle, Earns Public Gratitude.
Karmala, Maharashtra – August 18, 2025: In a swift and decisive operation that has sent shockwaves through the criminal underworld, the Karmala Police Station team, led by Senior Police Inspector Ranjit Mane, has successfully recovered a stolen motorcycle valued at ₹60,000. This action not only highlights the relentless efforts of the Maharashtra Police but also underscores their commitment to curbing rising vehicle thefts in the region. Criminals are now gripped with fear due to the intensified crackdowns, while the local public has expressed heartfelt thanks to the Karmala police for restoring safety and trust.
The incident dates back to the night of August 9, 2025, when Omkar Vilas Shiral, a resident of Krishnaji Nagar in Karmala taluka, Solapur district, reported his Hero Passion motorcycle stolen from outside his home. The vehicle, a red bike with a black stripe (registration number MH13AQ0591, chassis number MBLHA10E8GC24775, engine number HA10EB8GG52548), was valued at ₹60,000. The theft prompted the registration of Crime No. 669/2025 under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Karmala Police Station on August 13, 2025.
Amid a surge in motorcycle thefts over the past few months in the Karmala Police Station jurisdiction under Solapur Rural, Superintendent of Police Atul Kulkarni (IPS), Additional Superintendent of Police Pramod Yavalakar, and Sub-Divisional Police Officer Anjana Krishna (IPS) directed focused efforts to detect and prevent such crimes. Under the direct guidance of Police Inspector Ranjit Mane, the station’s Crime Detection Unit sprang into action.
Utilizing confidential informants, CCTV footage analysis, and advanced technical methods, the team zeroed in on the suspect: Sharad Baburao Sukale, a 35-year-old resident originally from Varkute but currently living in Krishnaji Nagar, Karmala. Acting on a tip-off that Sukale was spotted in Karmala town, the detection squad swiftly apprehended him. During intense interrogation, Sukale confessed to the theft, leading to the recovery of the stolen Hero Passion motorcycle from his possession.
The operation has been hailed as a major breakthrough, with the recovered vehicle now secured as evidence. Further investigation is being conducted by Police Head Constable A.S. Moholkar (Badge No. 1685).
This successful recovery is part of a broader initiative by the Karmala Police to dismantle theft networks, instilling fear among potential offenders. Local residents have lauded the team’s efficiency, with many taking to social media and community forums to thank Inspector Mane and his squad for their proactive policing. “The police’s quick response has made us feel safer,” said one Karmala resident, echoing the sentiments of many who believe such actions will deter future crimes.
The operation was executed under the supervision of SP Atul Kulkarni, Addl. SP Pramod Yavalakar, SDPO Anjana Krishna, and PI Ranjit Mane. Key team members included Police Head Constable Ajit Ubale (1648), Police Naik Manish Pawar (1162), Police Naik Vaibhav Thengal (912), Police Constable Raviraj Gatkal (438), Police Constable Milind Dahihande (167), Police Constable Arjun Gosavi (856), Police Constable Yevle (689), Police Constable Bharate (25), Police Constable Randil (1524), Police Constable Khote (961), and Cyber Cell Police Head Constable Venkatesh More (222).
